Nahil Mahmood is a key figure in the Information Security space in Pakistan. He was awarded the (ISC)2 Asia Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievement (ISLA) award in a ceremony in Tokyo, Japan, in July 2012 for his significant contribution to the field of Information Security in the country.
In the leadership arena he has formerly been active as Founding President of Cloud Security Alliance (http://cloudsecurityalliance.org) Pakistan (2012-2014), and Chapter leader of Open Web Application Security Project (http://owasp.org) in Lahore (2012-2014). He is now establishing as Chairman the Pakistan Cyber Security Association (PCSA), an organization dedicated to develop the national Information Security community in Pakistan, and ensure its linkages with regional and International entities.
Nahil has a total of 20 years experience in networks, Information Technology, and Information Security. He has held senior positions at IBM Pakistan, WorldCall Telecom Group, and Wateen Telecom. Since 2012 he has been instrumental in setting up one of Pakistan’s leading Information Security consulting firms as an entrepreneur. Nahil has been at the forefront of achieving the most distinguished networks and Information Security certifications. He achieved the CCIE (routing & switching) certification in 2008, and subsequently the CISSP certification in 2012. Currently he is a recognized national Information Security trainer.
