HR as Business Partner

One day Seminar on HR as Business Partner – Adding Value to Business by Javed Ahmad Bhatti (Additional Director State Bank of Pakistan).

We do hope you are well. It would not be exaggeration to state that the employees of an organization are its biggest assets and it would be further true that the Human Resources department is the harbinger of that resource. In fact the HR inventory nurturing and development is managed by the Human Resources department whatever name called.

Human beings being complex in nature strive for excellence and efficiency and demand the best for their efforts. “HR as business partner” transforms the thought process from being a cost centre to a business centre with budgets, costs and profits, business as usual. The traditional archetype is being challenged in this seminar and should be useful for all the HR professionals vying to convince their bosses of the contribution they make to the organization.

It gives me a great pleasure to introduce Mr. Javed Ahmad Bhatti who works as an Additional Director at State Bank of Pakistan and has extensively worked in HR along with being an MBA from Strathclyde University UK and a Masters in HR from Melbourne University.

This one day HR as Business Partner–Adding Value Course aims at enabling participants gain knowledge and develop skills to become an effective business partner. Over the years, the concept of Business Partnering has become a dominant way of thinking about how HR can provide value-adding solutions to meet real business needs. However, becoming an effective business partner demands deeper and broader business understanding, developing networks across the organizations, leading and managing change, and adding value to business, which are not easy to develop. The course is quite interactive and builds on principles of adult learning

At the end of the course, the participants will:

1. Understand the role of “business partner” and how it differs from a historic role of HR;

2. Develop skills critical for becoming an effective business partner;

3. Appreciate how to align HR strategies with business strategies;

4. Identify different strategies for adding value to business and

5. Develop personal action plan
